Name: Howl
Age: 19
Species of Magical creature: Changeling
Family: Tons of brothers and sisters born from King Narcissus, raised by an old woman
Job (if any) : None
Personality: Howl is kind, generous, and forgiving, but those traits can easily be overshadowed by some negative qualities. He can come off as vain and completely interested in himself and anything that he deems to be beautiful, a trait that he may have picked up from his "father". Howl can act really childish at times with his head in the clouds and never having a care in the world. He can be a bit flirty, but he doubts that it would charm anyone. He can be a bit mischievous at times too. Howl can change his appearance, which mainly constitutes with his hair and eye color and the occasional turning into a harpy.
Background: King Narcissus of the Changelings saw promise in one of his newborn fairies, a boy who looked nearly like him, and wanted him to be his personal magical apprentice. As soon as other fae found out about their king’s obsession, they removed his memories of the land and immediately swapped him with a human child who belonged to an old woman. She didn’t notice at all, surprisingly, and raised him, loving him as if he was her own child. When signs of magic came from the young Howl, the woman didn’t mind, for she was familiar with magic and tried teaching him to get by with it and get along with others the best that he can. Their relationship lasted for nearly a couple of years… until the king decided to come back to receive his prize.
One day, when Howl was sixteen, a man with luscious blonde hair appeared at his door and took him away for a couple of days. He explained that he was King Narcissus of the Changelings and that he has come back to reclaim what was his. Howl was confused, yet intrigued. He didn't even know his magic could make him change forms. In his curiosity, he followed Narcissus to the realm of the Changelings. It was everything that the changeling could dream of and more! With the king, Howl learned to change his appearance and was encouraged to use it for prettying himself up. While he used glamour after glamour, Narcissus got more and more obsessed with his pupil. When Howl was by himself, the king came to him in the middle of the night and kissed him awake. He confessed his love for Howl, telling him that he would never let him out of his sight. Howl wasn't exactly sure as to how he felt about it, so he rejected the king's declaration. The king, naturally, was furious, so he locked his possession in an iron cage to torture him until he accepted his offer. In retaliation, Howl shifted into a harpy, the ultimate sign of ugliness to the king, and fled the land of the changelings. He fled for years and years until he stumbled upon the hotel, hoping the king won't find him there.
Hidden Secrets: No matter how carefree he may come off as, he hates his heritage, his king, and what he stands for. He will only tell people who he's really close to about what happened that night.
